Creating opportunities and higher pay for healthcare professionals is our mission!
The overwhelming majority of our bookings on the Medely platform are incident-free. However, every once in awhile, healthcare facilities and professionals participate in activities which are against Medely policy. Most of these activities are defined as fraud, and result in job opportunities being taken away from you. Know what to look out for to avoid any potential issues.
Report professionals that request to do pre-arranged bookings off the Medely platform.
Paying and communicating only through the Medely platform is vital to making every booking experience as positive and secure as possible. If your transaction happens offline and we have no record of it, it is impossible for us to assist you.
We do understand that there may be fraudulent bookings that, as the Professional, you are not aware of and have no control over. Our intention is not to make Professionals nervous about bookings, but rather to encourage them to report suspicious behavior and avoid taking part in fraudulent bookings.
Key principles on fraudulent activity:
- Bookings should NOT be pre-arranged between Facilities and Professionals. In certain circumstances, this can be considered collusion.
- Collusion is an agreement between two or more people to limit open competition by deceiving, misleading, or defrauding others (in this case Medely) to obtain an objective forbidden by law typically by defrauding or gaining an unfair market advantage.
- Fraud is the deliberate deception to secure unfair or unlawful gain.
