Note: This experience is currently rolling out to a limited beta group and will be available to all customers in August 2026.
Healthcare staffing has never been simple. Over the past few years, the complexity has only grown, with more variability in schedules, more locations to manage, and more pressure to fill gaps quickly without sacrificing quality.
That's why we've reimagined the Medely experience. The new experience is faster, more intuitive, and built to help you manage your workforce more efficiently as your staffing needs grow and evolve.

What we heard
Before we built anything, we listened. A few themes kept coming up from the administrators and schedulers we spoke with:
The schedule took more mental effort than it should to interpret
Switching between locations was time-consuming and slowed teams down
Views did not always match how people actually worked
Timesheet approvals were easy to lose track of
What's new
We took all of it seriously. Here’s a quick summary of what changed:
A cleaner, more intuitive schedule
Faster navigation and shift posting
One view across all locations and units
A simpler timesheet approval experience
The ability to manage your entire workforce in one place

A schedule that works the way you do
Your schedule now looks like a standard calendar, making it easy to see and manage shifts at a glance.
By default, shifts are organized by position. Each card shows the details you need most: shift time, professional's name, and location.
Need a different view? You can switch in one click to professional or location. However your team thinks about the day, the schedule can match it.
Faster to navigate, faster to post
Everything in the new Medely is easier to find. Simpler menus, a cleaner layout, and a more intuitive flow make navigation faster, while updates to shift posting help you create shifts with fewer clicks.
Key updates include:
A Post Shift button that is always visible in the left navigation
A new position dropdown that surfaces your most-used positions first
The ability to add new favorites directly from the shift posting form
All your locations, one view
If you manage more than one facility, getting the full picture can be difficult.
Now you you can see and manage all your locations and units in a single view. Whether you're checking the schedule or reviewing timesheets, everything is visible across all your facilities without jumping between screens.
Timesheets without the friction
The new timesheet interface makes sure nothing slips through. An updated design flags past due or exception-laden timecards so you can address them quickly before payroll deadlines.
Per diem and assignment shifts now appear on the same screen instead of separate tabs, so you always have the full picture in one place.
Your whole workforce in one schedule
One of the biggest changes in the new experience is that it's designed to support your entire workforce, not just professionals from Medely. You'll see separate Flex and Core tabs under the Workforce tab, making it easy to manage both flexible staff (Medely) and your own internal staff in one place.
Bring your internal staff directly into Medely so your full workforce appears in a single schedule. Easily identify coverage gaps, optimize staffing, and maximize internal coverage before turning to external resources.
You can post a shift once, offer it to your own staff first, then automatically extend it to Medely's marketplace when additional coverage is needed.
The result: less toggling between systems, less manual coordination, and a clearer view of your entire workforce.

Built for today, ready for tomorrow
This redesign is about more than improving what already existed. It's about building a foundation that can grow with you.
As facilities take on more workforce complexity and think more strategically about coverage, the tools they rely on need to keep up. The new Medely is designed to scale with those needs.
